Production managers sometimes want to create production orders immediately without following the planning steps.
To support this need, we offer a common task called 'New Production Order' in the Production Control Work Center of SAP Business ByDesign.
This task generates a production order, the corresponding production proposal, and the production request (for planning purposes) in a single step. These can be viewed in the document flow.
The production order can be saved in 'Preparation' status or immediately released for execution.
If errors occur, production orders can be promptly deleted if not yet released.
This feature simplifies the creation of production orders in one step without switching Work Centers.
